Week1#2 Lifelong Learning Habits

Habit 1: Begin with the end in mind - In September, I will have tried out the 23 things and be able to decide what is useful to me.

Habit 2: Accept responsibility for your own learning. So I have to make time every week for working with these new tools and post to my blog about that experience.

Habit 3: View problems as challenges. Hmmm. Yes, OK - after freaking out, though.

Habit 4: Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner. Learner, yes - rememberer...not so much!

Habit 5: Create your own learning toolbox. Had to go back and check what this meant...(see Habit 4) I 'll work on reaching out for help like others have done already because I usually button whack instead of asking.

Habit 6: Use technology to your advantage. Funny how I'll use every technology at work I can get my hands on but I do not even have a computer at home by choice. Rather sit in front of a sewing machine, I guess!

Habit 7: Teach/mentor others. I find my students ahead of me in the technology arena but maybe I can share the secrets of the world of technology with my office mates...here it is... are you ready??? Turn it off then turn it back on. That is the secret.

Habit 7 ½: Play You becha.

Now about the contract. It makes me nervous. It's the commitment. Have to work on that.
